Erin K Baldwin aka Beverly Sullivan aka CEO of THE BALDWIN COMPANIES aka writer of the badbizfinder.wordpress.com blog lives in Costa Mesa, CA in an APARTMENT, (There is a reason I mention her living in an apartment , please read the final analysis at the end of this review to understand why I mention this now) She has had some defamatory and very nasty things to say about loan mod companies and how DISHONEST and lawbreaking they are. I cannot vouch for all loan mod companies but our law firm which was on her “hit list” is doing great work for our clients getting incredible loan mods completed as the banks allow.

But lets see enough about us, When I first cast eyes on this beautiful liar, I admit I was shocked, what the hell was Hillary Clinton doing??? (when you see her picture you’ll know what I’m talking about.) Erin is a business consultant (perhaps getting paid to blog negatively about loan mod companies by other loan mod companies
i.e. trash the competition) but that’s just one speculation, I don’t know that for sure so I won’t state it as a fact YET until I confirmed it as FACT (unlike her on her dishonest blog).

Continuing…. Looking at her posts, she seems to have some sort of knowledge of attorney ethics and legal affairs so she “sounds oh so credible” on her misleading blog…. according to her website ….http://www.thebaldwincompanies.com/about.asp

” (SHE) served as a law firm administrator for ten years bringing in new clients, retaining existing clients, as well as managing all operations and administrative staff.” (Sounds like she’s could have worked for a loan modification company is she a lawyer??? In California shes not so how could she manage all operations if attorneys  are supposed to handle every aspect of their business, like she states in her blog?)

She attended school at Merrimack College, a private college in Andover, Massachusetts ……also attended Harvard and
congratulations… graduated from Harvard…. Wait! …. What degree did she get? What??!!?….. Oh!…Sorry…

SHE TOOK SOME CLASSES AT MERRIMACK AND HARVARD… Why in the world would you mention taking
classes, if you didn’t graduate? (OHHH I took some classes at Harvard. Big deal…. anybody can enroll in certain Harvard classes.) Seems to me she needed some credibility? Hmmm. Mislead your potential clients to make them think you studied at some prestigious schools so your potential clients would feel safe spending money with you, cause your EDUCATED!

Interesting, and she has the audacity to rant and rave on loan mod companies….for “deceptive practices?”

   February 26th, 2008 at 8:57 am Beware! I just won case # 30-2007-00027127-SC-SC-HLH in the city of Laguna Hills against her. She files bankruptcy and then changes the name of her companies. Erin left me high and dry with services she contracted from my company stating she couldn’t afford to pay me AFTER the work was done. She has also left many business aquaintances of mine with half finished business plans and then won’t return phone calls, emails OR money. Stay away!

   Do not do business with We Love Startups and or any Baldwin Company. Erin and the Baldwin Company have scammed many people out of money thinking she can provide a professional Business plan but in return customers get a business plan template and in some cases not customized for there business but rather other company names. She is un-professional and is currently in a number of court battles to resolve many of her past clients issues.

   Erin said she would do a job for a set price then tried to double the price and when I said no thank you she stopped returning my calls, emails and I am currently going after in court.
   Please do not fall for her, I did and it has cost me a lot of money.

   I would not do business with Erin Baldwin ever again. I paid her $5000 in full for a business plan. She would not provide references, nor any information about her investors, citing confidentiality issues. She broke her contract after 6 months and only submitted a partially finished business plan.

   I plan to sue, but right now, my business is more important. If you value your business, do not use Erin Baldwin.

   Tony Johnson of Tony J. Productions contracted with me to write a business plan last year. We worked well together and everything was going along fine until he insisted that he wanted to split up his two primary company functions into two different business plans. I explained to him that I was happy to do that but that constituted two business plans and I would have to charge him for two plans. The determining factor is whether two sets of financials will be required. This is in fact what he requested. I tried on numerous occasions to remedy the situation with no success. I stood ready to complete the business plan as it was contracted for and made that known to him. He stated that he was to busy to do that. I continue to stand ready for this. If there are any skeptics out there as to my position, I would be more than happy to provide an extenisve email trail that prove without a shadow of a doubt that I upheld my contract. Mr. Johnson does not have a basis for a lawsuit as he unilaterally changed a material part of the contract without my consent. This in fact leave the contract void. Despite this fact, I continue to be available to Tony to finish the plan for which we contracted. All he would need to do to call me.

   With regard to Stan’s comments, I have no clue who this person is as I have never had a client nor prospect with this name. I am happy to speak with him (949-429-5102) if he would like to discuss his situation. I don’t know the basis of his claims. I have never doubled my price after stating a set price as a matter of fact, I prominently state my hourly rate right on my homepage so that there is no confusion as to this fact. Everyone is charged the same rate unless they are in a bind and I sometimes discount it to help out for a period of time.

   With regard to David’s comments, I am sure who this person is either! However, I believe it is David Jahr who brought me in to perform business planning service on two deals that he was working on, Oak Meadows and Courtlandt Securities. I spent a great deal of time preparing for these presentations and received favorable feedback. When some time passed and I had not heard from him, I followed up and he told me that they decided not to move forward at this time. Some time later Sandy McGinty (yes, the same Sandy as wrote one of the other disparaging remarks) told me that David Jahr had decided to explore a new career with Nouveau Riche University. Consequently, unbeknownst to me he had structured the deals with these two prospects as a package deal with David and I working as a team. Well, when he bowed out of the projects he told the prospects that “it’s a package” at which time the prospects stopped taking mt calls. I confronted David with this fact at a South County Chamber of Commerce meeting and he looked sheepish but had nothing to say. I am not now, nor have I ever been involved in court battles with my clients. Please feel free to check the court docket if you doubt my statements. I also never write a business plan from a template, but rather utilize the method stated on my webiste which has been very successful otherwise I would not still be in business 5 years later.

   Dara Weiner is an ex-independent contractor that I had to let go last November. She claimed that I owed her more money than I did ($1800-I’m happy to show you the small claims action) which is what she sued me for in small claims; she was awarded a little over $1000 by the court and verbally berated in open court by the judge for her frivolous lawsuit and claims. I had already paid her via checks she refused to cash because they weren’t in the amounts she wanted. Therefore, those amounts are still outstanding and that was what Dara was awarded. The judge was not happy about the fact that she had not cashed the check, and she was reprimanded by thejudge for sending out an email to my entire database stating “Can Anyone Help Me Get Money Out of Erin Baldwin?” Neither was the judge happy about the $800 more she requested for bank fees and attorney services. She continues to disparage my name all over town and with the most recent assault on my listing on Kimberly Porazza’s website
   http://www.mywomanownedbusiness.com. Kim stated in an email to me that she was furious about Dara’s comments and has stated to Dara that her website was built to support and help women and she only wanted to hear positive comments in the future. Again, I am happy to speak to anyone about this posting or any other posting. I am very proud of my business and the way I conduct myself both personally and professionally.

    Jan you should thought about the name calling before you opened this post up. You seem and sound like a friend of Erin’s and not a Writer for a paper. So once you choose to post this story you lost control of who call who what and where. You can’t post a story then make rules on an open blog. But then again you most likely will not allow this to be posted on the blog. Seems like censorship to me. But no worries this will all soon be over we are building a website dedicated to sharing our experiences. This is going to be fun

Summing up

My FINAL ANALYSIS :
Here is what I believed happened…

Erin’s dream was to own a home and provide a quality life for her and her son. She started a company helping people in the So Cal area come up with business plans and she did okay. One day she was able to buy a home of her dreams for her and her son to live in. Everything seemed great and things were going well…

UNTIL…

The economy collapsed and business started going south. She started getting behind on her payments so she called a loan modification company whose ad she heard on the radio. (I know who she called by the way she attacks on her blog, but I’m not naming any names.) To make a long story short, they weren’t able to save her home and she lost it to foreclosure… (Honestly I do feel bad for her on that part)

Now she lives in an apartment in Costa Mesa, and she’s angry, REALLY angry and decides, she’s not going to take losing her precious home and money lying down. Those crooks at bleep bleep law firm loan mod company took my money and I still lost my home. I’ve been…..
I’ve been….SCAMMED!!!! (or so she thinks) SHE’S now getting FURIOUS and with no business coming in,
(and basically nothing else to do)  sets her mind to blogging about this “horrible” company…..but then… its not enough…..Other people must be getting scammed to…

So she thinks to herself….I’m going to turn this blog into A CRUSADE against all loan mod companies right or wrong, I’ll use my limited knowledge of law, do a little research, throw in a few tid bits to MAKE IT
SEEM LIKE FACT i.e. LAW, and invent the rest because after all nobody should get scammed like me…..

But how can I do this….without getting sued, hmmm let me think,…….

We here at bad biz finder are a Consumer Advocate Group that’s been around since the 1980s and….took
on hundreds of causes (yeah right, hundreds??) and we stay anonymous because we’ve been threatened in the past…

Erin Baldwin is looking for a pat on the back, some kudos a day inthe spotlight.  Shes upset Huffington Post didnt give her credit for the 2nd chance story…. boo hoo Erin.  She wants all the glory for bringing down the EVIL loan mod attorneys. what this crackpot doesn’t want you to know is that she took “upfront fees” for BS Business Plans that she was supposed to write for people BUT never did.

Now that she has lost her precious home and is mad as hell she is attacking everybody I do mean everybody.  Good guys maybe bad guys doesn’t matter she doesn’t have her home anymore and she blames everyone but herself. I’d love to get my hands on her original loan docs and see if she did a stated loan to get in. I bet she did. Then business went way south cause you can only take money for “business plans” for so long without delivering them.

How do you attack the State bar, the DRE, Brokers, Attornies, Just Anybody? In her mind nobody but I guess her is doing right huh? Crazy lady on the lose., you are deceiving the public like you accuse or firm of doing…. But we have proof of our work… so…

If you are looking to serve her with a lawsuit because she has SLANDERED your name online and caused you damage, the address where you can send your suit is found  in the post entitled BAD BIZ FINDER EXPOSED.  You can send it to her office, or her apartment where she allegedly hasn’t paid rent in a few months and is fighting tooth and nail to stay in there.

Maybe instead of making up stories about HONEST loan modification law firms, you should get a job and pay your rent and bills. That makes more sense to me.

Anyway, I just read her latest rant on another loan mod company and shes asks the question, how can you go from making employee handbooks to doing loan mods.

Listen Erin K Baldwin, a loan modification is not THAT difficult that any reasonable with time and a good understanding of the process couldn’t do themselves.

We tell our clients they can do it themselves, AND that there are free programs sponsored by the government that will assist them.

The problem is that alot of people

(ONE) DO NOT have the time to spend on the phone with the lender and follow up.

(TWO), are emotionally attached to the situation making it hard to get a good solution AND  are easily intimidated by the Lender.

(THREE)  Alot of time don’t know what to say, what to do, and need guidance.

I’m sure an attorney can learn the verbiage and quickly pick up the process  ESPECIALLY if there is a broker or loan officer there to assist him or her.

Your anger is SOOO misplaced by attacking every loan mod company that you don’t make sense is some of what you write which destroys your credibility..

Oh well, doesn’t matter much, Youre probably getting slapped with so many suits right now you’re having a hard time keeping up.

There are a lot of gray areas in this new industry and the State Bar and DRE are working hard to fight the true scams and alert consumers as well.

You attacked our firm for no reason, and when you did, you made up blantant lies and made ALOT of speculation about how we operate.

Should I mention we just completed a pro bono case for a 87 year old woman who was losing her house and brought her rate down to 3.75% fixed?

I have the loan mod paperwork to prove this, but would that matter to you?

Erin, if you work hard, be honest you’ll get another house, in Orange County again, but this unfair blog attacks are going to get you no where but sued and then it will be really hard to buy a house cause you’ll have to pay back judgements. (Has it been 7 years since your last BK’d?)

There are people and companies out there really taking desperate peoples money and not doing ANYTHING -these are scams.
